Day 1

  • Ala-carte Lunch at Earthwatch restaurant
  • Visit the national heritage monument site of Sleeping Vishnu, Asia’s largest Bishnu sculpture carved in a single monolith. 
  • Open-air barbeque dinner and overnight at Park Village Hotel

  • Drive  to Kopan Monastery , visit the Lamas in the monastery
  • Visit Boudha, the largest Buddhidst Stupa in the world, and burn butterlamps and pay homage at the giant prayer’s wheel.
  • Drive to Pashupatinath temple, another World Heritage Site of Hindu temple.

  • Drive to Bhaktapur City. Stroll around the ancient city - visit Golden Gate, 55 window palace, and fascinating 5 storied temple.

  • Drive to Pokhara, which is about 5 - 6 hours (200 km).
    Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty.  The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtail summit rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and magic.  At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has much more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers which prosper in its environ.  Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forest, gushing rivers, and emerald lakes and of course, the world famous views of the Himalayas.

Day 6

  • Style of Trek: Camping
    Trek Grade: Easy/ Moderate

  • This is a easy and moderate trek. This is a part of Annapurna Skyline trek. The mountains seen in this trek are Fishtail and South Annapurna.

    Pokhara to Pothana:
    Start with a 45-minute drive to Suikhet Phedi and then ascend the trail for 2 hours before reaching Dhampus for lunch. After ascending the trail for one hour we reach Pothana and stay overnight. From here you will have another view of Mt. Machapuchare (Fishtail) and the Annapurna South.

  • Pothana to Ghandruk:
    Walking for 3 hours into dense forest the trek pauses for lunch at Landruk. The trail takes 40 minutes down to Modi River. Again upwards the trail steepens and reaches Ghandruk village for an overnight stay. This is the largest Gurung settlement with the closet views of Annapurna and Mt. Machapuchare (Fishtail).

  • Ghandruk to Pokhara via Birethanti:
    Descend to Pokhara via Birenthanti. On the way yo can see mules loaded with goods in transit. Walking a distance of 5 hours to Nyayapul and then drive to Pokhara.

Day 9

  • Drive to Lumbini. A fantastic 7-hour drive, which will give you a detail idea about the Nepal landscape; approximately 250 Kilometers.
    Lumbini: The birthplace of Lord Buddha, which has been revered as the place of holy pilgrimage. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Lumbini is being developed with international support as an international Buddhist pilgrimage site and a symbol of world peace.

  • Whole Day Sightseeing
    Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born. The Ashoka pillar, and the Maya Devi Temple with a relief depicting the Nativity. The serene, tree-shaded lawn is dotted with brick mounds, which are the remains of ancient stupas and monasteries.
    International Monastery Zone: Various countries have constructed monasteries and stupas near the Sacred Garden. The various shrines, reflecting the different architectural traditions of the respective countries, give Lumbini an international feel and enhance its message of universal friendship and brotherhood. In the afternoon we visit these Shrines.
    Tilaurakot and other historic areas: 27 Kilometers to the west of Lumbini, contains the ruins of ancient Kapilvastu, capital of the Sakya kingdom where the Buddha spent his youth as prince Siddhartha. At Niglihawa (8 kilometers from Tilaurakot) and Gitihawa (5 kms from Tilaurakot), there are broken Ashoka pillars and other relics. Devdaha, capital of the Koliya kingdom and maternal home of Mayadevi, lies 35 Kilometers to the northeast of Lumbini.
